Agricultural Entrepreneurship: A Way Forward

Training needs assessment is an important process to determine the current knowledge, skills, and abilities of individuals regarding specific set of competencies. Agriculture play a vital role in the economy of Pakistan. If our farmers may aware and train in context of agricultural entrepreneurship and the benefits that they can get from this way and how much it has a significant impact in boosting up the economy of Pakistan. There is a dire need of training regarding bi-products that farmers can manufactures within their own resources. Govt. should focus and establish agricultural entrepreneurial centers at local levels can provide a platform for training and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs.

The Agricultural Extension Department should launch awareness campaigns, workshops, and seminars to highlight the opportunities available in the sector and motivate farmers to explore entrepreneurial ventures. Practical, hands-on training is essential for farmers to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for successful entrepreneurial practices. Facilitating market linkages and encouraging value chain integration can enhance the profitability of agricultural entrepreneurship. Collaboration with research institutions and universities can enhance the effectiveness of training programs and provide access to cutting-edge agricultural research.
