Reflections in the Bush
(Dr. Shakira Nandini, Karachi)
The bush heals humans and animals, but do plants have enough time to heal each other? The bush has a particular impact on our lives, but have we ever considered that plants might not want us to stereotype them based on their effects? Where do bushes hide during harsh weather? Is the unity of the bush greater than that of humans?
We need to ponder what the bush might think about environmental sustainability. Does it have faith in our societal systems? Sometimes, we may need to look to the bush as our compass. Do societal behaviors leave the bush feeling dizzy? Life brings various challenges—landslides, waterfalls, and rain—but the bush strives to remain grounded.
Can we be in the bush without being wild? The bush has no desire for hierarchies. Does the air in the bush get enough fresh air? We shouldn't recycle negativity; instead, we should strive to be as simple and stable as the bush. Does the bush provide us with balance?
There are many questions that reveal the beauty and mysteries of the bush. Can we understand its language? Do we need to protect it? Why don't we mourn the loss of billions of animals due to recent wildfires? The world of the bush holds magic and dreamscapes waiting to be discovered. The bush is an essential part of our lives, reminding us of nature's grandeur and significance.
