حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " افْتَرَقَتِ الْيَهُودُ عَلَى إِحْدَى وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً فَوَاحِدَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَبْعُونَ فِي النَّارِ وَافْتَرَقَتِ النَّصَارَى عَلَى ثِنْتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً فَإِحْدَى وَسَبْعُونَ فِي النَّارِ وَوَاحِدَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَتَفْتَرِقَنَّ أُمَّتِي عَلَى ثَلاَثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً فَوَاحِدَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَثِنْتَانِ وَسَبْعُونَ فِي النَّارِ " . قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ قَالَ " الْجَمَاعَةُ " .
“The Jews split into seventy-one sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy in Hell. The Christians split into seventy-two sects, seventy-one of which will be in Hell and one in Paradise. I swear by the One Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, my nation will split into seventy-three sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two in Hell.” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He said: “The main body. Here the question arises as to what is the main reason why 72 out of 73 sects of Islam will go to hell and for what reason will the sect that will go to heaven go there. Therefore, according to scholars, the main issue here is the belief, whether a person's belief is correct or not. ” So what is faith? There are two things in faith: one is general and one is detailed. The general is that a person says, "I believe in Allah, the Most High, as He has His names and attributes, and I accept all His commands." And the detail is that I believe in Allah Almighty, and I believe in His angels, and I believe in His messengers, and I believe in His holy books, and I believe in destiny, whether good or bad, is from Allah Almighty, and I believe in the Day of Judgment, that is, I will rise again after death and appear before Allah Almighty. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The people of Paradise are those who follow the path that I and my companions are on, that is, those who act on the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his good example and follow the companions, then that person or that group will enter Paradise. Bukhari and Muslim
A further explanation is that once a person asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which of the 73 evil sects would go to Paradise, and he said, "The one on which I and my companions are." The sect is commonly called Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah in Islam, so these are the people who will go to heaven according to Islamic teachings, and those who do not adhere to this sect and this belief will go to hell.
سائل يقول: قال رسول الله ﷺ: افترقت اليهود على إحدى وسبعين فرقة، وافترقت النصارى على اثنين وسبعين فرقة، وستفترق هذه الأمة على ثلاث وسبعين فرقة، كلهم في النار إلا واحدة قيل: من هي يا رسول الله؟ قال: من كان على مثل ما أنا عليه وأصحابي. يقول هل: كلهم في النار إلا واحدة، قيل: من هي يا رسول الله؟

Therefore, it has been proven that only the sect called Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah will go to Paradise. The rest of the sects other than it will go to Hell. This is about belief and action Two things are important. The first is that if a person's belief is correct but his good deeds are few and his sins are many, then Allah, the Exalted, will forgive his sins by His mercy and admit him to Paradise. The second is that if a person's belief is not correct, and he is on a belief other than Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, but his morals are very good and his deeds are also very good, they will not benefit him. According to Islamic teachings, Allah, the Exalted, will settle his account in this world and he will not get anything in the Hereafter. Therefore, belief is very important to have the correct belief. We pray to Allah, the Exalted, to grant us the ability to adhere to the belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah. Amen.
