| The tragic most incident of
27th December 2007 is still looming harshly before every eye. The shocking
and unbelievable death of slain Prime Minister, Mohattarma Benazir Bhutto
engulfed great fury in every chest that resulted in fanatic protest, due to
which Pakistan suffered many property and life damages and within the
twinkle of an eye, the poor country was taken 10 years back, when she had
    comparatively very less economy. |

Elections, the most important decision in such circumstances, were also extended
due to Mohattarma’s morn, since the future makers had the smell of terrorist
actions. Democracy was also said to be end-up with her death, but how it could
be possible when a benevolent leader has great supporters? The answer is off
course not. BB’s supporters dedicated their whole life to accomplish the
remaining wishes of Benazir, that is, DEMOCRACY.
The elections which were about to be held at 8th of January, 2008 were driven
forward till 18th of February, 2008, and all political parties got more time to
allure public in more better ways. Pakistan’s Peoples Party, which was morose,
also started its processions and conferences right after the Chelum of
Mohattarma. They also participated with great zeal and zest in that important
eve and the day came, when people had to decide for the future government of the
country.
The 18th of February was also given importance for a fact, that people were
already desperate due to Mohattarma’s assassination and they were impatiently
waiting for the time, they will take revenge by democracy according to BB’s
words.
Finally, the dawn of 18th February came and people voted to their desired
parties. Although elections were said to be free, fair and transparent, yet they
weren’t. Full rigging existed and despite of the less numbers of voters, parties
got great numbers of votes. Never the less, the democracy won and Pakistan’s
People’s Party succeeded in getting public’s trust. However, Muslim League (N)
was also fortunate to stand by PPP’s side and was given three conditions to be
accomplish with:
1) To help judges in bailing them out. 2) BB’s assassination investigation to be
carried out by United Nations and 3) Political future of President Pervez
Musharraf.
Un doubtly, Nawaz Sharif rationally agreed upon it.
Elections, apart from the rigging stance, also carried terrorism by political
parties upon each other with them as well. but some how circumstances coped with
that as well.
Leaving all tensions for the future of country beside, people are celebrating
the victory of democracy and the worthy blood of Benazir Bhutto, waiting for the
bright noon after the darkened night.
Now, lets see, what President Musharraf decides, whether to stand with the
rightful demands of the leading parties, or to resign off his seat.
Whatever happens! But now people of Pakistan are relaxed after the bloody
odyssey and are quite reluctant to think for the future. Let them celebrate
their happiness, after all they are no doubt one, to look after Pakistan.
