GUILT

(sehrish , karachi)

Nazia calls her friend and invites her at dinner on eid day. After calling her, she very rudely asks her maid if she has prepared food along with aftari which the maid has. Then she asks about bhola (who is her male maid) who enters shortly. she without any reason starts insulting him as if he was resting and was free all day along, which he was not.

After entering the kitchen bhola asks parveen( female maid) where she has kept the receipt of dry cleaning on which parveen asks what happened. He tells her that he has worked all day long even in ROZA without taking rest and bebe ji is not happy. Parveen tells him that she has not even given a holiday on eid and so to bhola.

On the other hand, bhola's sick mother and sister najo are waiting for him to show up on eid day so she calls bhola. while talking to his sister, nazia appears and start insulting bhola. Bhola asks for 2 days off on eid as his mother is seriously ill but she refuses. Afterwards bhola tells parveen about his sick mother that in these 3years he has never asked for a holiday, has done all the chores without giving any complaints to their masters but still bebe ji is not happy. Due to nazia's strictness, parveen can't see her sick brother. she also adds that nazia has never given zakat, fitra or eidi in these 2years.

Mr.asif who is nazia's husband is a respectable man appears at night, nazia prepares guest list from both sides. while talking, he asks if she has given any gift to the maids on this eid occasion but she refuses, then he explains her that they are also human, it's her duty to take care of her maids, as gift is not a big thing but it's a sign of appreciation that a person shows to other at special occasions.

Bhola surprises his mother and sister the next morning and tells them he will stay for the eid!

The same day afternoon nazia realizes that bhola and parveen are not there so she gets angry and worried and asks mr.asif what to do. Mr.asif tells her that it would be her lesson to learn from their absence, their importance!
