Treatments for heart Attack

The treatment for heart attack is divided into two categories.Medication & Operation.

Medication:
1.Aspirin:This is the drug which makes blood less likely to clot.

2.Clot busting drugs: These break up the blood clot that is stopping blood reaching the heart.Some of them include Altiplase,Reteplase,Streptokinase and tenecteplase.

3.Beta blockers: These are the drugs that slows down the heart beats.Common beta blockers include Atenolol,Metroprolol,Propranolol & Timolol

4.ACE inhibitors:These are the drugs that relieve the strain on your heart after a heart attack.Common ACE inhibitors include captopril,Enalapril,Lisinopril & Ramipril.

Operation:
An operation to widen blocked arteries:This is called coronary angioplasty.It widens the blocked arteries in our heart.
