Since 3,000 B.C. till today,
the most prominent and effective factor in changing the world has always been
“Religion”. After Second World War the world was almost stable but started
changing once again when an Islamic ideology based country Pakistan came into
being on 14 August 1947. The whole world was celebrating the end of Great War
and almost all conflicts among various nations were being diffused by re-unions
of fragmented countries. All of a sudden the world’s attention was diverted to
the birth of world’s first ever an ideology based state and started irritating
other ideology based states, consequently another birth was declared on 14 May
1948 with the name of Israel. The shape and structure of Government set-up might
have been different than earlier in their previous historical birth as mentioned
in different Holy Books but no one can deny the fact that these are the only
states who claim to be purely religion based states which became the root cause
of a conflicting attitude for almost half of the world.
I have been listening since my childhood that just at the nick of Doomsday,
there will be only one religion throughout the world and that will be Islam. I
thought this phrase is heard as I was born and brought up in Muslim Society, but
when I visited abroad in non-Muslim states, I heard there that at the last stage
of this planet’s life, there will be only one religion and that will be
Christianity, Jewish, Hinduism and Buddhism etc. etc. accordingly. Now I
understood the fact that the followers of any religion wish to see their
religion at the top, which is a normal phenomenon due to which the world has
faced so many wars and the map of the world has changed so many times since the
Stone Age.
Just to recall the history since 3,000 B.C human beings were either sheep
herders or farmers developing the techniques of writing, then in 2,500 B.C great
civilizations of Indus valley and Egypt appeared, in 1,500 B.C advanced
civilization of Bronze Age appeared, in 500 B.C Greek Civilization of iron age
came in to existence, in 200 B.C trading of various crops started along with the
spread of Hinduism and Buddhism. During 30BC - 200AD, the Roman Empire had
brought peace to this vast region, bringing great and rare blessings to its
fifty-million or so inhabitants. With peace and commerce, cities had prospered.
One small part of the Middle East, Judaea, had seen the birth of one of the
major religions of world history, Christianity. Later, however, two great
rebellions there were crushed by the Romans, and the Jewish people were
dispersed from their ancient homeland.
The past two and a half centuries of 500AD - 750AD had seen the map of the
Middle East change radically. In the 7th century Arab tribes, united under the
banner of a new religion, Islam, swept outwards in a surge of conquests: Iraq
and Iran, Syria, Egypt and North Africa, Spain - all had fallen to them. Arab
armies had penetrated as far as central Asia, western India and, briefly, into
France.
During 750AD - 979AD, The Muslim world was home to a flourishing cultural life.
Technological and scientific developments had come in from China (paper) and
India (decimal system), which Arab scholars added to Greek thought (medicine and
philosophy, amongst much else) plus their own contributions (for example, optics
and algebra) to create a massive body of knowledge which was in due course
passed onto Europeans. There it formed the basis for further advance.
Industrialization was at the boom in Europe, research to facilitate the humanity
was expanding throughout the globe that all of a sudden American forces landed
in Vietnam to crush the Communism, a potential threat to Christianity, it did
not work as USSR tried to penetrate in Afghanistan and CIA trained Jihadist
pushed him back.
This resulted in a perception that future threat for America will be these
Jihadists, hence 9/11 was plotted which started another Crusade. My point of
view is that almost whole world is in turmoil due to this war between two
distorted religions and none of these is going to spread all over the globe,
hence the Dooms Day is postponed.
