In Pakistan gender discrimination, exist in all institutes as family, education, health, marriage, career development, etc. However, gender discrimination in education department influence negatively to the progress of the whole country. Although, gender discrimination in education exists in all over the country, but it is more prominent in the rural areas. In rural areas, people treat the males and females entirely different way. They think women are created for household work; she cannot perform her duty in the workplace. They have a perception that women have no right to get an education. Consequently, the government of Pakistan invests less on women's education as compare to men. In this way, the education rate in the rural areas of Pakistan is very low, and women are unable to play active role in the society. Rather, women waste their whole life in useless activities and even cannot train their offspring effectively.

The education and economy has direct relation. Only those nations have economic progress, which gave prime importance to education. Unfortunately, Pakistan, is one of those countries, which are unable to eradicate poverty due to very low education rate. Globalization has created a tough competition in the world. Only those countries are going towards progress, which have an effective education system. However, in Pakistan is far behind because it has no progress in education. Still evil of gender discrimination exists in all over the Pakistan. Only those countries get success in which each individual plays his/her own role. However, in Pakistan only male have right to get an education, only the male is responsible to earn the bread and all other family members depend upon him. In such miserable situation, how can Pakistan compete the developed countries?

To sum up, it is necessary to remove the gender discrimination, particularly in the education department. The Male and females must have equal right to get an education. The government should take serious action about the enrollment of children in the rural as well as urban areas. By improving the education system Pakistan can eradicate poverty and may get great progress.
