Accident
Muniba Mazari belongs to a conservative Baloch family. A terrible car accident
changed her life completely. In 2007, Muniba was travelling to her hometown,
Rahim Yar Khan, when her husband fell asleep while driving and drove the car
into a ditch. He was able to jump out of the car and save his life but she was
left inside with severe injuries and bruises. This accident has made her
paralyzed and wheel chair bound for the rest of her life.
Life Changing Moment
Muniba Mazari decided not to live a life of misery and disappoint after her
accident. She found her inner strength by reviving the artist inside her after
her paralysis that happened nine years ago. She broke all shackles of physical
disability and transcends to achieve her dreams. Her art shows her inspiration
in life which helped her to overcome her fears.
Career
Muniba Mazari pursued her professional career as a content writer. She worked on
a campaign “Woman of Substance” with Toni & Guy. This is from where she became
Asia's first wheelchair bound model. She started her social work by working with
those schools which particularly cater the needs of under privileged children.
She became the brand ambassador for Chughtai Lab Pakistan. Medical camps were
being organized in different cities of Pakistan particularly in schools who
offer free education to needy ones. The highlights of the camp include free
diagnostics and medical tests of all kinds, free medical advice, medicines,
parents and teacher counseling, lessons on personal hygiene and lot more. This
initiative is taken to provide free medical facilities to those who can't afford
it.

Along with philanthropic efforts, Muniba Mazari has established her brand
‘Muniba’s Canvas’ with the slogan Let Your Walls Wear Colors. Her medium is
acrylics on canvas.
Reasons for Popularity
Muniba Mazari is Asia's first wheelchair bound television host who works as an
anchor person for National TV of Pakistan. In year 2015, she was listed among
the BBC’s 100 influential women in the world, which is surely a great
achievement not just hers but also of the entire country. She is one of the
Pond's Miracle Mentors. She is also the leading motivational speaker and has
been recently nominated as the first Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan.
