Once upon a time Aslam and Paul
were intimate friends. They lived in the small village. Their parents were
inspired by their true and good friendship because they loved so much one
another. Aslam was belonging to the very poor family whereas Paul was son of a
Doctor. Both of them used to go school together, play together even they eat
together. Some of students felt jealously from them in the class but they did
not take care of them. Every time they were ready to help each other in
difficulties and hurters. Aslam was most brilliant student in the class but Paul
was an average student that’s why Aslam helped his friend in study. One day they
made plan to go the Ravi River. They reached their by bus. After reaching there
they jumped in the river. Aslam was much conscious how to swim in the water but
Paul didn’t aware about it. Aslam was swimming and enjoy a lot of fun but right
after a few moments he saw that his friend was drowning in the water and crying
out for help. He went towards him quickly and took him out from the water. He
saved his friend‘s life. Paul was so happy and thanked him of his great
generosity.
As usually, again they started go to school. One day Aslam didn’t not go to
school because his father was a poor man and he could not pay his school fee of
every month. Aslam was intelligent students and wanted to continue his study but
he could not because of his poverty. Therefore he decided to leave the school.
Next day Paul came to his home and asked him that why did not you go to school
yesterday? Aslam told him that” my family is so poor and my father cannot bear
my school’s expenses.”
Paul said him that” I will pay your school fee, my brother you don’t worry about
your study.” Now Aslam was so happy because he got a change to continue his
study again. Their parents, teachers and student were very glad and inspired
from their true friendship. Now Aslam has become a professor and he is teaching
in the Govt. Emerson College Multan while Paul has become MBBS doctor like his
father. He is doing duty in Nishter Hospital Multan. Now they sit together when
they get free time and mostly they enjoy holidays. Nobody can separated both of
them and break their true friendship because they believe that God is always
with them who gave them courage to remain faithful and helpful for each other.
They also believe that “a friend in need is a friend indeed.”
