Action policy of Punab Government

(Noshin Bashir, Sargodha)

Recall the hearings of Zain Murder case, the point that struck our mind lies in the piece of news that Shahbaaz Sharif took strong action, ordered the arrest of the suspect and announced Rs0.5m for the family of the deceased. Zain was the only son born to the Rauf family besides three daughters. He was the only male member of the Rauf family now comprising four members. Undoubtedly, his death is a great loss to the Rauf family, especially in this male dominated society.

What would happen if good governance did not take action of incidents aired by media houses, What about the figures of reported murder cases in Punab and their trials with none of the action by good governance. Is this not the failure of civil administration which is responsible for the security rift. The law enforcement agency(Police) is devoid of immediate action against the accused on the report of victim, especially if the later belong to subordinate class from a financial standpoint.

Good governance is notorious to take action against crime, not criminals due to which criminals scot free after committing heinous acts. Does policy needs implementation or amendment? Law prevails not to register the kidnapping case prior to 24 hours after being reported. The kidnappers can vanish in couple of hours or can commit heinous crimes prior to follow up by law enfforcement agencies.

Recall the case of 22 year old girl in Rawalpindi, if we trust the good governance action policy, this case exhibit weak prosecution and denial of testimonies.

All these circustances spoke much of the political pressure and political interference upon law enforcement agencies, though in positive sense but may be counteractive in case of strong emulate. The law enforcement should carry on it's work without political supervision and must ensure the security and safety of a layman. The security threat necessitates the VIP. protocol and uneven surveillance across the state. The public services should be envenly distributed nationwide so that the public donot attracts inferioriity complex.

The good governance should adopt robust policy while dealing with the current happenings and should strengthen the institutions so they can perform better and with more convenience.

The good governance should strengthen the public prosecution so that the dwindlings of trials can be reduced. Can we hope of justice delivered equally before indigent and the rich in near future or it will remain a far cry.
