Health benefits of red chilli pepper

Chilli peppers are one of the popular spices known for their medicinal and health benefit properties. They are related to bell peppers, and most belong to a species known scientifically as Capsicum annum. They come in variety of colors green ( im-matured ) and red.

HEALTH BENEFITS:
1) Red chillies are rich in vitamins and minerals.
2) Chilli peppers are rich in vitamin C. It is a powerful antioxidant, important for wound healing and immune function.
3) Also rich in vitamin B6, it is important for energy metabolism.
4) Chillies carry a good amount of potassium, manganese, iron and magnesium.
5) Capsaicin, the main bio active found in chilli, which is popular as for pain relief.
6) There is some evidence that capsaicin, a plant compound in chilli peppers, can promote weight loss by reducing appetite and increasing fat burning.
