Doctors in HMC reattached cut hand to labour

medical complex Peshawar has reatached the hand of Gul wada, worker at a local
factory which was cut in machine. It’s the first ever surgery in any of
government hospital of Peshawar.
The injured Employee belongs to tribal area of Orakzai Agency. Orakzai is the
most effected area of conflict in tribal belt of Pakistan attached to
Afghanistan also.
According to the details, resident of the Orkazai Agency 22 years old Gul Wada’s
hand was cut on 16 auguast in a foam factory of Hayat Abad Indsutrial Area of
Peshawar. His four Finger stuck in the Cutter Machine and his fingers and hand
was totally separated.
Fellows of gul wada rushed him to Hayat Abad Medical complex’s plastic surgery
ward with his cut hand.
Senior consultant of the Hosptal Dr Firdus along with his team conducted
emergency operation in hospital and after 10 hours the doctors team reattached
the cut hand of Gul wada. Doctors confirmed that the injured labour hand is
alive and during three to six month his hand will work again.
Assistan Professor of the Plastic SurgerY Department Tahmeed ullah said that
daily two or three patients admitted in hospital because of lack of awareness
and proper training of labour. He further added that unforntually labour
inspector didn’t check the factory condition , that’s why mostly labour who
belongs to poor families are effected.
Dr Firdus who is a senior consultant of the plastic surgery department said that
patient was admitted in department and after 10 hours operation successfully the
hand was rattached. According to him the operation is very hard , because veins
in hand are very close and thin but our team succefully handled it.
Labour Gul Wada who was admitted in Hayat Abad Medical complex Peshawar , is
stable and happy by gaining his hand back.
