ثَمٰنِیَةَ اَزْوَاجٍۚ-مِنَ الضَّاْنِ اثْنَیْنِ وَ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَیْنِؕ-قُلْ ءٰٓالذَّكَرَیْنِ حَرَّمَ اَمِ الْاُنْثَیَیْنِ اَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَیْهِ اَرْحَامُ الْاُنْثَیَیْنِؕ- نَبِّـٴُـوْنِیْ بِعِلْمٍ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ ﴿۱۴۳﴾

آٹھ نر و مادہ ایک جوڑا بھیڑ کا اور ایک جوڑا بکری کا، تم فرماؤ کیا اس نے دونوں نر حرام کیے یا دونوں مادہ یا وہ جسے دنوں مادہ پیٹ میں لیے ہیں (ف۲۹۳) کسی علم سے بتاؤ اگر تم سچے ہو ﴿۱۴۳﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) (یہ بڑے چھوٹے چارپائے) آٹھ قسم کے (ہیں) دو (دو) بھیڑوں میں سے اور دو (دو) بکریوں میں سے (یعنی ایک ایک نر اور اور ایک ایک مادہ) (اے پیغمبر ان سے) پوچھو کہ (خدا نے) دونوں (کے) نروں کو حرام کیا ہے یا دونوں (کی) مادنیوں کو یا جو بچہ مادنیوں کے پیٹ میں لپٹ رہا ہو اسے اگر سچے ہو تو مجھے سند سے بتاؤ ﴿۱۴۳﴾
