وَ مِنْهُمْ مَّنْ یَّسْتَمِـعُ اِلَیْكَۚ-وَ جَعَلْنَا عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ اَكِنَّةً اَنْ یَّفْقَهُوْهُ وَ فِیْۤ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًاؕ-وَ اِنْ یَّرَوْا كُلَّ اٰیَةٍ لَّا یُؤْمِنُوْا بِهَاؕ-حَتّٰۤى اِذَا جَآءُوْكَ یُجَادِلُوْنَكَ یَقُوْلُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسَاطِیْرُ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ ﴿۲۵﴾

اور ان میں کوئی وہ ہے جو تمہاری طرف کان لگاتا ہے (ف۵۹) اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر غلاف کردیے ہیں کہ اسے نہ سمجھیں اور ان کے کانٹ میں ٹینٹ (روئی) اور اگر ساری نشانیاں دیکھیں تو ان پر ایمان نہ لائیں گے یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے حضور تم سے جھگڑتے حاضر ہوں تو کافر کہیں یہ تو نہیں مگر اگلوں کی داستانیں (ف۶۰) ﴿۲۵﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں کہ تمہاری (باتوں کی) طرف کان رکھتے ہیں۔ اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر تو پردے ڈال دیئے ہیں کہ ان کو سمجھ نہ سکیں اور کانوں میں ثقل پیدا کردیا ہے (کہ سن نہ سکیں) اور اگر یہ تمام نشانیاں بھی دیکھ لیں تب بھی ان پر ایمان نہ لائیں۔ یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے پاس تم سے بحث کرنے کو آتے ہیں تو جو کافر ہیں کہتے ہیں یہ (قرآن) اور کچھ بھی نہیں صرف پہلے لوگوں کی کہانیاں ہیں ﴿۲۵﴾

Surah Anam Ayat 25 with English Translation

Of them are some who listen unto thee, but We have placed upon their hearts veils, lest they should understand, and in their ears a deafness. If they saw every token they would not believe therein; to the point that, when they come unto thee to argue with thee, the disbelievers say: This is naught else than fables of the men of old. ﴾25﴿
