اَلَمْ یَرَوْا كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنّٰهُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَّكُمْ وَ اَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَآءَ عَلَیْهِمْ مِّدْرَارًا۪-وَّ جَعَلْنَا الْاَنْهٰرَ تَجْرِیْ مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ فَاَهْلَكْنٰهُمْ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ وَ اَنْشَاْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا اٰخَرِیْنَ ﴿۶﴾

کیا انہوں نے نہ د یکھا کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے (ف۱۲) کتنی سنگتیں کھپا دیں انہیں ہم نے زمین میں وہ جماؤ دیا (ف۱۳) جو تم کو نہ دیا اور ان پر موسلا دھار پانی بھیجا (ف۱۴) اور ان کے نیچے نہریں بہائیں (ف۱۵) تو انہیں ہم نے ان کے گناہوں کے سبب ہلاک کیا (ف۱۶) اور ان کے بعد اور سنگت اٹھائی (ف۱۷) ﴿۶﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی امتوں کو ہلاک کر دیا جن کے پاؤں ملک میں ایسے جما دیئے تھے کہ تمہارے پاؤں بھی ایسے نہیں جمائے اور ان پر آسمان سے لگاتار مینہ برسایا اور نہریں بنا دیں جو ان کے (مکانوں کے) نیچے بہہ رہی تھیں پھر ان کو ان کے گناہوں کے سبب ہلاک کر دیا اور ان کے بعد اور امتیں پیدا کر دیں ﴿۶﴾

See they not how many a generation We destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth more firmly than We have established you, and We shed on them abundant showers from the sky, and made the rivers flow beneath them. Yet we destroyed them for their sins, and created after them another generation. ﴾6﴿
