وَ قَالَ الَّذِیْنَ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ لَوْ لَا یُكَلِّمُنَا اللّٰهُ اَوْ تَاْتِیْنَاۤ اٰیَةٌؕ-كَذٰلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْؕ-تَشَابَهَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْؕ-قَدْ بَیَّنَّا الْاٰیٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یُّوْقِنُوْنَ ﴿۱۱۸﴾

اور جاہل بولے (ف۲۱۲) اللہ ہم سے کیوں نہیں کلام کرتا (ف۲۱۳) یا ہمیں کوئی نشانی ملے (ف۲۱۴) ان سے اگلوں نے بھی ایسی ہی کہی ان کی سی بات اِن کے اُن کے دل ایک سے ہیں (ف۲۱۵) بیشک ہم نے نشانیاں کھول دیں یقین والوں کے لئے -(ف۲۱۶) ﴿۱۱۸﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور جو لوگ (کچھ) نہیں جانتے (یعنی مشرک) وہ کہتے ہیں کہ خدا ہم سے کلام کیوں نہیں کرتا۔ یا ہمارے پاس کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں آتی۔ اسی طرح جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے، وہ بھی انہی کی سی باتیں کیا کرتے تھے۔ ان لوگوں کے دل آپس میں ملتے جلتے ہیں۔ جو لوگ صاحبِ یقین ہیں، ان کے (سمجھانے کے) لیے نشانیاں بیان کردی ہیں ﴿۱۱۸﴾

And those who have no knowledge say: Why doth not Allah speak unto us, or some sign come unto us? Even thus, as they now speak, spake those (who were) before them. Their hearts are all alike. We have made clear the revelations for people who are sure. ﴾118﴿
