Surah Al Fil "The Elephant" is the 105th Surah of the Holy Quran and it was revealed in Makkah. The name of this Surah 'Ashab Al Fil' derives in the first verse of this Surah. Surah Al Fil alludes to the Abyssinian campaign against Makkah in the year 570 of the Christian era. In Arab, this era is also known as 'The Year of the Elephant'.
