فَلَمَّا رَاٰۤ اَیْدِیَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ اِلَیْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَ اَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِیْفَةًؕ-قَالُوْا لَا تَخَفْ اِنَّاۤ اُرْسِلْنَاۤ اِلٰى قَوْمِ لُوْطٍﭤ ﴿۷۰﴾

پھر جب دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھ کھانے کی طرف نہیں پہنچتے ان کو اوپری سمجھا اور جی ہی جی میں ان سے ڈرنے لگا، بولے ڈریے نہیں ہم قوم لوط کی طرف (ف۱۴۹) بھیجے گئے ہیں، ﴿۷۰﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) جب دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھ کھانے کی طرف نہیں جاتے (یعنی وہ کھانا نہیں کھاتے) تو ان کو اجنبی سمجھ کر دل میں خوف کیا۔ (فرشتوں نے) کہا کہ خوف نہ کیجیے، ہم قوم لوط کی طرف (ان کے ہلاک کرنے کو) بھیجے گئے ہیں ﴿۷۰﴾
