وَ اَنْذِرِ النَّاسَ یَوْمَ یَاْتِیْهِمُ الْعَذَابُ فَیَقُوْلُ الَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْا رَبَّنَاۤ اَخِّرْنَاۤ اِلٰۤى اَجَلٍ قَرِیْبٍۙ- نُّجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَ نَتَّبِـعِ الرُّسُلَؕ- اَوَ لَمْ تَكُوْنُوْۤا اَقْسَمْتُمْ مِّنْ قَبْلُ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ زَوَالٍ ﴿۴۴﴾

اور لوگوں کو اس دن سے ڈراؤ (ف۱۰۱) جب ان پر عذاب آئے گا تو ظالم (ف۱۰۲) کہیں گے اے ہمارے رب! تھوڑی دیر ہمیں (ف۱۰۳) مہلت دے کہ ہم تیرا بلانا مانیں (ف۱۰۴) اور رسولوں کی غلامی کریں (ف۱۰۵) تو کیا تم پہلے (ف۱۰۶) قسم نہ کھاچکے تھے کہ ہمیں دنیا سے کہیں ہٹ کر جانا نہیں (ف۱۰۷) ﴿۴۴﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور لوگوں کو اس دن سے آگاہ کردو جب ان پر عذاب آجائے گا تب ظالم لوگ کہیں گے کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار ہمیں تھوڑی سی مدت مہلت عطا کر۔ تاکہ تیری دعوت (توحید) قبول کریں اور (تیرے) پیغمبروں کے پیچھے چلیں (تو جواب ملے گا) کیا تم پہلے قسمیں نہیں کھایا کرتے تھے کہ تم کو (اس حال سے جس میں تم ہو) زوال (اور قیامت کو حساب اعمال) نہیں ہوگا ﴿۴۴﴾

Surah Ibrahim Ayat 44 with English Translation

And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you? ﴾44﴿
