وَ اِذَا قِیْلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا اِلٰى مَاۤ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ وَ اِلَى الرَّسُوْلِ قَالُوْا حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَیْهِ اٰبَآءَنَاؕ-اَوَ لَوْ كَانَ اٰبَآؤُهُمْ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ شَیْــٴًـا وَّ لَا یَهْتَدُوْنَ ﴿۱۰۴﴾

اور جب ان سے کہا جائے آؤ اس طرف جو اللہ نے اُتارا اور رسول کی طرف (ف۲۴۹) کہیں ہمیں وہ بہت ہے جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا، کیا اگرچہ ان کے باپ دادا نہ کچھ جانیں نہ راہ پر ہوں (ف۲۵۰) ﴿۱۰۴﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور جب ان لوگوں سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ جو (کتاب) خدا نے نازل فرمائی ہے اس کی اور رسول الله کی طرف رجوع کرو تو کہتے ہیں کہ جس طریق پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا ہے وہی ہمیں کافی ہے بھلا اگر ان کے باپ دادا نہ تو کچھ جانتے ہوں اور نہ سیدھے رستے پر ہوں (تب بھی؟) ﴿۱۰۴﴾

And when it is said unto them: Come unto that which Allah hath revealed and unto the messenger, they say: Enough for us is that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever, and no guidance? ﴾104﴿
