Surah Najm Ayat 23 in Arabic
اِنۡ هِىَ اِلَّاۤ اَسۡمَآءٌ سَمَّيۡتُمُوۡهَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ وَاٰبَآؤُكُمۡ مَّاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنۡ سُلۡطٰنٍؕ اِنۡ يَّتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهۡوَى الۡاَنۡفُسُۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ مِّنۡ رَّبِّهِمُ الۡهُدٰىؕ ﴿۲۳﴾
Surah Najm Ayat 23 with Urdu Translation
وہ تو نہیں مگر کچھ نام کہ تم نے اور تمہارے باپ دادا نے رکھ لیے ہیں (ف۲۴) اللہ نے ان کی کوئی سند نہیں اتاری، وہ تو نرے گمان اور نفس کی خواہشوں کے پیچھے ہیں (ف۲۵) حالانکہ بیشک ان کے پاس ان کے رب کی طرف سے ہدایت آئی (ف۲۶) ﴿۲۳﴾

وہ تو صرف نام ہی نام ہیں جو تم نے اور تمہارے باپ دادا نے گھڑ لئے ہیں۔ خدا نے تو ان کی کوئی سند نازل نہیں کی۔ یہ لوگ محض ظن (فاسد) اور خواہشات نفس کے پیچھے چل رہے ہیں۔ حالانکہ ان کے پروردگار کی طرف سے ان کے پاس ہدایت آچکی ہے ﴿۲۳﴾

Surah Najm Ayat 23 with English Translation
They are but names which ye have named, ye and your fathers, for which Allah hath revealed no warrant. They follow but a guess and that which (they) themselves desire. And now the guidance from their Lord hath come unto them. ﴾23﴿
