وَ لَوْ لَاۤ اِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوْهُ قُلْتُمْ مَّا یَكُوْنُ لَنَاۤ اَنْ نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهٰذَا ﳓ سُبْحٰنَكَ هٰذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِیْمٌ ﴿۱۶﴾

اور کیوں نہ ہوا جب تم نے سنا تھا کہا ہوتا کہ ہمیں نہیں پہنچتا کہ ایسی بات کہیں (ف۲۵) الہٰی پاکی ہے تجھے (ف۲۶) یہ بڑا بہتان ہے، ﴿۱۶﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور جب تم نے اسے سنا تھا تو کیوں نہ کہہ دیا کہ ہمیں شایاں نہیں کہ ایسی بات زبان پر نہ لائیں۔ (پروردگار) تو پاک ہے یہ تو (بہت) بڑا بہتان ہے ﴿۱۶﴾
