وَ مَا تَفَرَّقُوْۤا اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْیًۢا بَیْنَهُمْؕ-وَ لَوْ لَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ اِلٰۤى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى لَّقُضِیَ بَیْنَهُمْؕ-وَ اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ اُوْرِثُوا الْكِتٰبَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِیْ شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِیْبٍ ﴿۱۴﴾

اور انہوں نے پھوٹ نہ ڈالی مگر بعد اس کے کہ انہیں علم آچکا تھا (ف۳۰) آپس کے حسد سے (ف۳۱) اور اگر تمہارے رب کی ایک بات گزر نہ چکی ہوتی (ف۳۲) ایک مقرر میعاد تک (ف۳۳) تو کب کا ان میں فیصلہ کردیا ہوتا (ف۳۴) اور بیشک وہ جو ان کے بعد کتاب کے وارث ہوئے (ف۳۵) وہ اس سے ایک دھوکا ڈالنے والے شک میں ہیں (ف۳۶) ﴿۱۴﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور یہ لوگ جو الگ الگ ہوئے ہیں تو علم (حق) آچکنے کے بعد آپس کی ضد سے (ہوئے ہیں)۔ اور اگر تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے ایک وقت مقرر تک کے لئے بات نہ ٹھہر چکی ہوتی تو ان میں فیصلہ کردیا جاتا۔ اور جو لوگ ان کے بعد (خدا کی) کتاب کے وارث ہوئے وہ اس (کی طرف) سے شبہے کی الجھن میں (پھنسے ہوئے) ہیں ﴿۱۴﴾

Surah Shura Ayat 14 with English Translation

And they were not divided until after the knowledge came unto them, through rivalry among themselves; and had it not been for a Word that had already gone forth from thy Lord for an appointed term, it surely had been judged between them. And those who were made to inherit the Scripture after them are verily in hopeless doubt concerning it. ﴾14﴿
