یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مَا لَكُمْ اِذَا قِیْلَ لَكُمُ انْفِرُوْا فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ اِلَى الْاَرْضِؕ-اَرَضِیْتُمْ بِالْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیَا مِنَ الْاٰخِرَةِۚ-فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیَا فِی الْاٰخِرَةِ اِلَّا قَلِیْلٌ ﴿۳۸﴾

اے ایمان والو! تمہیں کیا ہوا جب تم سے کہا جائے کہ خدا کی راہ میں کوچ کرو تو بوجھ کے مارے زمین پر بیٹھ جاتے ہو (ف۸۸) کیا تم نے دنیا کی زندگی آخرت کے بدلے پسند کرلی اور جیتی دنیا کا اسباب آخرت کے سامنے نہیں مگر تھوڑا (ف۸۹) ﴿۳۸﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) مومنو! تمہیں کیا ہوا ہے کہ جب تم سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ خدا کی راہ میں (جہاد کے لیے) نکلو تو تم (کاہلی کے سبب سے) زمین پر گرے جاتے ہو (یعنی گھروں سے نکلنا نہیں چاہتے) کیا تم آخرت (کی نعمتوں) کو چھوڑ کر دینا کی زندگی پر خوش ہو بیٹھے ہو۔ دنیا کی زندگی کے فائدے تو آخرت کے مقابل بہت ہی کم ہیں ﴿۳۸﴾

Surah Taubah Ayat 38 with English Translation

O ye who believe! What aileth you that when it is said unto you: Go forth in the way of Allah, ye are bowed down to the ground with heaviness. Take ye pleasure in the life of the world rather than in the Hereafter? The comfort of the life of the world is but little in the Hereafter. ﴾38﴿
