Both solitary and group prayer, or jama'ah, are acceptable forms of worship. When a prayer service is conducted in a jama'ah, the imam is followed by worshipers arranged in parallel rows. Like the Friday prayer and the Eid prayers, special prayers are only offered in congregation and are accompanied by two discourses by the imam.
