حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ هُوَ:‏‏‏‏ الْأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، أَنَّهُ خَطَبَ امْرَأَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّهُ أَحْرَى أَنْ يُؤْدَمَ بَيْنَكُمَا . وَفِي الْبَاب:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي حُمَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهَا مَا لَمْ يَرَ مِنْهَا مُحَرَّمًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ:‏‏‏‏ أَحْمَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ أَحْرَى:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ يُؤْدَمَ بَيْنَكُمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَحْرَى أَنْ تَدُومَ الْمَوَدَّةُ بَيْنَكُمَا.

Urdu Translation

مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے ایک عورت کے پاس نکاح کا پیغام بھیجا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم اسے دیکھ لو“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اس باب میں محمد بن مسلمہ، جابر، ابوحمید اور ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- بعض اہل علم اسی حدیث کی طرف گئے ہیں، وہ کہتے ہیں: اسے دیکھنے میں کوئی حرج نہیں جب وہ اس کی کوئی ایسی چیز نہ دیکھے جس کا دیکھنا حرام ہے۔ یہی احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ کا بھی قول ہے، ۴- اور «أحرى أن يؤدم بينكما» کے معنی یہ ہیں کہ یہ تم دونوں کے درمیان محبت پیدا کرنے کے لیے زیادہ موزوں ہے۔

English Translation

Bakr bin Abdullah Al-Muzani narrated that : Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah proposed to a woman, so the Prophet said: Look at her, for indeed that is more likely to make things better between the two of you.
