حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْسِمُ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ فَيَعْدِلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ هَذِهِ قِسْمَتِي فِيمَا أَمْلِكُ فَلَا تَلُمْنِي فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ وَلَا أَمْلِكُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ يَقْسِمُ . وَرَوَاهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ مُرْسَلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ يَقْسِمُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَلُمْنِي فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا أَمْلِكُ إِنَّمَا يَعْنِي بِهِ الْحُبَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمَوَدَّةَ كَذَا فَسَّرَهُ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی بیویوں کے درمیان باری تقسیم کرتے ہوئے فرماتے: ”اے اللہ! یہ میری تقسیم ہے جس پر میں قدرت رکھتا ہوں، لیکن جس کی قدرت تو رکھتا ہے، میں نہیں رکھتا، اس کے بارے میں مجھے ملامت نہ کرنا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کی حدیث کو اسی طرح کئی لوگوں نے بسند «حماد بن سلمة عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة عن عبد الله بن يزيد عن عائشة» روایت کیا ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باری تقسیم کرتے تھے جب کہ اسے حماد بن زید اور دوسرے کئی ثقات نے بسند «أيوب عن أبي قلابة» روایت کیا ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باری تقسیم کرتے تھے اور یہ حماد بن سلمہ کی حدیث سے زیادہ صحیح ہے، اور ”جس کی قدرت تو رکھتا ہے میں نہیں رکھتا“ سے مراد محبت و مؤدّۃ ہے، اسی طرح بعض اہل علم نے اس کی تفسیر کی ہے۔

English Translation

Aishah narrated that: The Prophet would divide (his time) equally between his wives and said: O Allah! This is my division in what I have control over, so do not punish me for what You have control over which I do not have control over.
