Narrated Abu Hurairah: That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever purchases an animal that has not been milked, then he retains the option for three days. If he returns it, then he is to return with it a Sa' of food, not Samra' [Abu 'Eisa said:] The meaning of Not Samra' is not wheat. This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. This Hadith is acted upon according to our companions, among them Ash-Shafi'i, Ahmad, and Ishaq.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنِ اشْتَرَى مُصَرَّاةً فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ رَدَّهَا رَدَّ مَعَهَا صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ لَا سَمْرَاءَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عِنْدَ أَصْحَابِنَا مِنْهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَحْمَدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ لَا سَمْرَاءَ يَعْنِي:‏‏‏‏ لَا بُرَّ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے کوئی ایسا جانور خریدا جس کا دودھ تھن میں روک دیا گیا ہو تو اسے تین دن تک اختیار ہے۔ اگر وہ اسے واپس کرے تو اس کے ساتھ ایک صاع کوئی غلہ بھی واپس کرے جو گیہوں نہ ہو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ہمارے اصحاب کا اسی پر عمل ہے۔ ان ہی میں شافعی، احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ ہیں۔ آپ کے قول «لا سمراء» کا مطلب «لابُرّ» ہے یعنی گیہوں نہ ہو ( کھانے کی کوئی اور چیز ہو، پچھلی حدیث میں کھجور کا تذکرہ ہے ) ۔
