Ibn Umar narrated that : the Prophet said: Whoever misses the Asr prayer, then it is as if he was robbed of his family and his property.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ . وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَنَوْفَلِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ الزُّهْرِيُّ أَيْضًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس سے عصر فوت ہو گئی گویا اس کا گھر اور مال لٹ گیا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں بریدہ اور نوفل بن معاویہ رضی الله عنہما سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
