Baab Fitno Aur Jungon Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلَامِ الْمَرْءِ تَرْكَهُ مَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَهَكَذَا رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ مُرْسَلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا عِنْدَنَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ.

Urdu Translation

علی بن حسین (زین العابدین) کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”آدمی کے اسلام کی خوبی یہ ہے کہ وہ ایسی چیزوں کو چھوڑ دے جو اس سے غیر متعلق ہوں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- زہری کے شاگردوں میں سے کئی لوگوں نے اسی طرح «عن الزهري عن علي بن حسين عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» کی سند سے مالک کی حدیث کی طرح مرسلا روایت کی ہے، ۲- ہمارے نزدیک یہ حدیث ابوسلمہ کی ابوہریرہ سے مروی حدیث سے زیادہ صحیح ہے ۱؎، ۳- علی بن حسین ( زین العابدین ) کی ملاقات علی رضی الله عنہ سے ثابت نہیں ہے۔

English Translation

Ali bin Al-Husain narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Surely, of the excellence of a person's Islam is that he leaves what does not concern him.
