Baab Mehdi Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا أَعْرِفُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْهِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْنَ الصَّلَاةُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَوَلَمْ تَصْنَعُوا فِي صَلَاتِكُمْ مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ.

Urdu Translation

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں وہ چیزیں نہیں دیکھتا جن پر ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں عمل کرتے تھے، راوی حدیث ابوعمران جونی نے کہا: کیا آپ نماز نہیں دیکھتے؟ انس رضی الله عنہ نے کہا: کیا تم لوگوں نے نماز میں وہ سب نہیں کیا جو تم جانتے ہو؟ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث ابوعمران جونی کی روایت سے غریب حسن ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث انس کے واسطے سے اس کے علاوہ اور کئی سندوں سے مروی ہے۔

English Translation

Abu 'Imaran Al-Jawni narrated : From Anas bin Malik who said : 'I do not recognize anything (today) from what we were upon during the time of The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w).' So I said : 'What about the Salat?' He said: 'Have you (people) not done what you know (you have done)?'
