Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Prophet said When the Imam says 'Amin' then (all of you) say 'Amin.' For whoever's 'Amin' concurs with the 'Amin' of the angels, then his past sins will be forgiven.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَأَبى سلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا أَمَّنَ الْإِمَامُ فَأَمِّنُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ وَافَقَ تَأْمِينُهُ تَأْمِينَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب امام آمین کہے تو تم لوگ بھی آمین کہو۔ اس لیے کہ جس کی آمین فرشتوں کی آمین سے مل گئی تو اس کے پچھلے گناہ معاف کر دئیے جائیں گے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ابوہریرہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
