حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَفْضَلَ مِنْ دَرَجَةِ الصِّيَامِ وَالصَّلَاةِ وَالصَّدَقَةِ ؟ قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ بَلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَاحُ ذَاتِ الْبَيْنِ فَإِنَّ فَسَادَ ذَاتِ الْبَيْنِ هِيَ الْحَالِقَةُ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُرْوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هِيَ الْحَالِقَةُ لَا أَقُولُ تَحْلِقُ الشَّعَرَ وَلَكِنْ تَحْلِقُ الدِّينَ .

Urdu Translation

ابو الدرداء رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کیا میں تمہیں ایسی چیز کے بارے میں نہ بتا دوں جو درجہ میں صلاۃ، صوم اور صدقہ سے بھی افضل ہے، صحابہ نے عرض کیا: کیوں نہیں؟ ضرور بتائیے“، آپ نے فرمایا: ”وہ آپس میں میل جول کرا دینا ہے ۱؎ اس لیے کہ آپس کی پھوٹ دین کو مونڈنے والی ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث صحیح ہے۔ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ”یہی چیز مونڈنے والی ہے۔ میں یہ نہیں کہہ رہا ہوں کہ سر کا بال مونڈنے والی ہے بلکہ دین کو مونڈ نے والی ہے“۔

English Translation

Abu Ad-Darda' narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Shall I not inform you of what is more virtuous than the rank of fasting, Salat, and charity? They said: But of course! He said: Making peace between each other. For indeed spoiling relations with each other is the Haliqah.
