حَدَّثَنَا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَرَنَا بِإِحْفَاءِ الشَّوَارِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِعْفَاءِ اللِّحَى ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ هُوَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ثِقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ثِقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ يُضَعَّفُ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں مونچھیں کٹوانے اور ڈاڑھیاں بڑھانے کا حکم دیا ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما کے آزاد کردہ غلام ابوبکر بن نافع ثقہ آدمی ہیں، ۳- عمر بن نافع یہ بھی ثقہ ہیں، ۴- عبداللہ بن نافع ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما کے آزاد کردہ غلام ہیں اور حدیث بیان کرنے میں ضعیف ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered trimming the mustache and leaving the beard to grow.
