حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْمَاطٌ ؟ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَنَّى تَكُونُ لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ لَكُمْ أَنْمَاطٌ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَنَا أَقُولُ لِامْرَأَتِي أَخِّرِي عَنِّي أَنْمَاطَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَمْ يَقُلِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ لَكُمْ أَنْمَاطٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَدَعُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے پاس «انماط» ( غالیچے ) ہیں؟“ میں نے کہا: غالیچے ہمارے پاس کہاں سے ہوں گے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تمہارے پاس عنقریب «انماط» ( غالیچے ) ہوں گے“۔ ( تو اب وہ زمانہ آ گیا ہے ) میں اپنی بیوی سے کہتا ہوں کہ تم اپنے «انماط» ( غالیچے ) مجھ سے دور رکھو۔ تو وہ کہتی ہے: کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ نہ کہا تھا کہ تمہارے پاس «انماط» ہوں گے، تو میں اس سے درگزر کر جاتا ہوں“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Do you have Anmat? I said: Where would we get Anmat from? He said: Soon you will have Anmat He said: I would say to my wife: 'Remove your Anmat from my sight.' But she would say: 'Did not the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Indeed you shall soon have Anmat? He said: So I left it.
