حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَنَامَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَطْحٍ لَيْسَ بِمَحْجُورٍ عَلَيْهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الأَيْلِيُّ يُضَعَّفُ.

Urdu Translation

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایسی چھت پر جہاں کوئی رکاوٹ نہ ہو سونے سے منع فرمایا ہے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- ہم اس حدیث کو صرف محمد بن منکدر کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، جسے وہ جابر سے روایت کرتے ہیں، ۳- عبدالجبار بن عمر ضعیف قرار دیئے گئے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited that a man sleep on a terrace without something to obstruct him (so that he will not roll off and fall).
