حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا أُخْرِجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْرَجُوا نَبِيَّهُمْ لَيَهْلِكُنَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى:‏‏‏‏ أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَاتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ سورة الحج آية 39 الْآيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ قِتَالٌ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مکہ سے نکالے گئے تو ابوبکر رضی الله عنہ نے کہا کہ ان لوگوں نے اپنے نبی کو ( اپنے وطن سے ) نکال دیا ہے، یہ لوگ ضرور ہلاک ہوں گے، تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے آیت «أذن للذين يقاتلون بأنهم ظلموا وإن الله على نصرهم لقدير» ”ان لوگوں کو بھی لڑنے کی اجازت دے دی گئی جن سے مظلوم ( و کمزور ) سمجھ کر جنگ چھیڑ رکھی گئی ہے، اللہ ان ( مظلومین ) کی مدد پر قادر ہے“ ( الحج: ۳۹ ) ، نازل فرمائی ابوبکر رضی الله عنہ نے کہا: ( جب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی تو ) میں نے یہ سمجھ لیا کہ اب ( مسلمانوں اور کافروں میں ) لڑائی ہو گی۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: When the Prophet (ﷺ) was expelled from Makkah, Abu Bakr said: 'They have driven out their Prophet to their own doom.' So Allah, Most High, revealed: 'Permission (to fight) is given to those who are fought against, because they have been wronged; and surely, Allah is able to give them victory (22:39).' So Abu Bakr said: 'Then I knew that there would be fighting.'
