حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِي زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ فَلَمَّا قَضَى زَيْدٌ مِنْهَا وَطَرًا زَوَّجْنَاكَهَا سورة الأحزاب آية 37 قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَكَانَتْ تَفْخَرُ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏تَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ زَوَّجَكُنَّ أَهْلُكُنَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزَوَّجَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْ فَوْقِ سَبْعِ سَمَاوَاتٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   جب یہ آیت «فلما قضى زيد منها وطرا زوجناكها» ”زید نے جب ان سے اپنی حاجت پوری کر لی ( انہیں طلاق دے دی ) تو ہم نے تمہاری شادی اس سے کر دی“ ( الاحزاب: ۳۷ ) ، زینب بنت جحش رضی الله عنہا کے بارے میں اتری ہے۔ انس کہتے ہیں: چنانچہ اسی بناء پر وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی دوسری بیویوں پر یہ کہہ کر فخر کرتی تھیں کہ تمہاری شادیاں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے تمہارے گھر والوں ( رشتہ داروں ) نے کی ہیں، اور میری شادی تو اللہ نے آپ سے ساتویں آسمان پر کر دی ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas: When this Ayah was revealed about Zainab bint Jahsh: 'So when Zaid had completed his aim with her, We gave her to you in marriage (33:37)' - he said: She used to boast to the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ): 'Your families married you (to him) while Allah married me (to him) from above the Seven Heavens.'
