حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، عَنْ أُنَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ امْتَرَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي خُدْرَةَ وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ الْخُدْرِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ مَسْجِدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ مَسْجِدُ قُبَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ هَذَا يَعْنِي مَسْجِدَهُ وَفِي ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ كَثِيرٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِهِ بَأْسٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَخُوهُ أُنَيْسُ بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى أَثْبَتُ مِنْهُ.

Urdu Translation

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   بنی خدرہ کے ایک شخص اور بنی عمرو بن عوف کے ایک شخص کے درمیان بحث ہو گئی کہ کون سی مسجد ہے جس کی بنیاد تقویٰ پر رکھی گئی ۱؎ تو خدری نے کہا: وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مسجد ( یعنی مسجد نبوی ) ہے، دوسرے نے کہا: وہ مسجد قباء ہے، چنانچہ وہ دونوں اس سلسلے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”وہ یہ مسجد ہے، یعنی مسجد نبوی اور اس میں ( یعنی مسجد قباء میں ) بھی بہت خیر و برکت ہے“ ۲؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- علی بن عبداللہ بن المدینی نے یحییٰ بن سعید القطان سے ( سند میں موجود راوی ) محمد بن ابی یحییٰ اسلمی کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا: ان میں کوئی قابل گرفت بات نہیں ہے، اور ان کے بھائی انیس بن ابی یحییٰ ان سے زیادہ ثقہ ہیں۔

English Translation

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated: A man from Banu Khudrah and a man from Banu Amr bin Awf were disputing about the Masjid that was founded upon Taqwa. The man from Banu Khudrah said: 'It is the Masjid of Allah's Messenger.' The other one said that it was Masjid Qub. So they went to ask Allah's Messenger about that. He said: 'It is this - meaning his Masjid - 'and in that one (Masjid Quba) there is much good.'
