حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ سورة الواقعة آية 82 قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ شُكْرُكُمْ تَقُولُونَ مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبِنَجْمِ كَذَا وَكَذَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، نَحْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ. حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ.

Urdu Translation

علی رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آیت «وتجعلون رزقكم أنكم تكذبون» ”اور تم اپنے رزق ( کا شکریہ یہ ادا کرتے ہو کہ ) تم ( اللہ کی رزاقیت کی ) تکذیب کرتے ہو“ ( الواقعہ: ۸۲ ) ، کے متعلق فرمایا: ”تمہارا «شكر» یہ ہوتا ہے: تم کہتے ہو کہ یہ بارش فلاں فلاں نچھتر کے باعث اور فلاں فلاں ستاروں کی گردش کی بدولت ہوئی ہے۔ اس طرح تم جھوٹ بول کر حقیقت کو جھٹلاتے ہو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب صحیح ہے، ہم اسے اسرائیل کی روایت کے سوا اور کسی سند سے مرفوع نہیں جانتے، ۲- اس حدیث کو سفیان ثوری نے عبدالاعلی سے، عبدالاعلیٰ نے ابوعبدالرحمٰن سلمی سے، اور عبدالرحمٰن نے علی سے اسی طرح روایت کیا ہے، اور اسے مرفوعاً روایت نہیں کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Abu Abdur-Rahman narrated from Ali that : the Messenger of Allah said: And you make your provision your demise! – he said: “Your gratitude is expressed by saying: ‘We received rain because of this and that celestial position, and because of this and that star.’”
