حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ أَفْلَحَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نُسَبِّحَ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَحْمَدَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنُكَبِّرَهُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَرَأَى رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي الْمَنَامِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَرَكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُسَبِّحُوا فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَحْمَدُوا اللَّهَ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتُكَبِّرُوا أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَاجْعَلُوا خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاجْعَلُوا التَّهْلِيلَ مَعَهُنَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَغَدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ افْعَلُوا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

زید بن ثابت رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ہمیں حکم دیا گیا کہ ہر نماز کے بعد ہم ( سلام پھیر کر ) ۳۳ بار سبحان اللہ، ۳۳ بار الحمدللہ اور ۳۴ بار اللہ اکبر کہیں، راوی ( زید ) کہتے ہیں کہ ایک انصاری نے خواب دیکھا، خواب میں نظر آنے والے شخص ( فرشتہ ) نے پوچھا: کیا تمہیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم دیا ہے کہ ہر نماز کے بعد ۳۳ بار سبحان اللہ ۳۳ بار الحمدللہ اور ۳۴ بار اللہ اکبر کہہ لیا کرو؟ اس نے کہا: ہاں، ( تو سائل ( فرشتے ) نے کہا: ( ۳۳، ۳۳ اور ۳۴ کے بجائے ) ۲۵ کر لو، اور «لا إلہ إلا اللہ» کو بھی انہیں کے ساتھ شامل کر لو، ( اس طرح کل سو ہو جائیں گے ) صبح جب ہوئی تو وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس گئے، اور آپ سے یہ واقعہ بیان کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایسا ہی کر لو“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Zaid bin Thabit (ra) said: “We were ordered to say the Tasbīḥ at the end of every Salat thirty-three times, and to say the Takbīr thirty-four times.” He said: “Then a man from the Ansar had a dream in which someone said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered you to say the Tasbīḥ at the end of every Salat thirty-three times, and to say the Taḥmīd thirty-three times, and to say the Takbīr thirty-four times?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Then make them twenty-five and add the Tahlīl (saying Lā ilāha illallāh) to them.’ The next day he went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him, so he said: “Do it.”
