حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ حَبَّانَ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَّهُ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَيْرِ فَضْلِ يَدَيْهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَى ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَبَّانَ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ وَأَنَّهُ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَيْرِ فَضْلِ يَدَيْهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَرِوَايَةُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ حَبَّانَ أَصَحُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَغَيْرِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ لِرَأْسِهِ مَاءً جَدِيدًا،‏‏‏‏ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ رَأَوْا أَنْ يَأْخُذَ لِرَأْسِهِ مَاءً جَدِيدًا.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن زید رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ نے وضو کیا اور اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں کے بچے ہوئے پانی کے علاوہ نئے پانی سے اپنے سر کا مسح کیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ابن لھیعہ نے یہ حدیث بسند «حبان بن واسع عن أبیہ» روایت کی ہے کہ عبداللہ بن زید رضی الله عنہ نے کہا: نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے وضو کیا اور اپنے سر کا مسح اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں کے بچے ہوئے پانی سے کیا، ۳- عمرو بن حارث کی روایت جسے انہوں نے حبان سے روایت کی ہے زیادہ صحیح ہے ۱؎ کیونکہ اور بھی کئی سندوں سے عبداللہ بن زید وغیرہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے اپنے سر کے مسح کے لیے نیا پانی لیا، ۴- اکثر اہل علم کا عمل اسی پر ہے، ان کی رائے ہے کہ سر کے مسح کے لیے نیا پانی لیا جائے۔

English Translation

Abdullah bin Zaid narrated that : he saw the Prophet performing Wudu, and that he wiped his head with water that was not left over from his hands.
