حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ هُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ سَلَّامٍ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَّامٍ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ الْوُضُوءُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَآَنِ أَوْ تَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو فَبَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

ابو مالک اشعری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”وضو آدھا ایمان ہے، اور «الحمد لله» ( اللہ کی حمد ) میزان کو ثواب سے بھر دے گا اور «سبحان الله» اور «الحمد لله» یہ دونوں بھر دیں گے آسمانوں اور زمین کے درمیان کی جگہ کو یا ان میں سے ہر ایک بھر دے گا آسمانوں اور زمین کے درمیان کی ساری خلا کو ( اجر و ثواب سے ) «صلاة» نور ہے، اور «صدقة» دلیل اور کسوٹی ہے ( ایمان کی ) اور «صبر» روشنی ہے اور «قرآن» تمہارے حق میں حجت و دلیل ہے یا اور تمہارے خلاف حجت ہے۔ ہر انسان صبح اٹھ کر اپنے نفس کو فروخت کرتا ہے چنانچہ یا تو ( اللہ کے یہاں فروخت کر کے ) اس کو ( جہنم سے ) آزاد کرا لیتا ہے، یا ( شیطان کے ہاں فروخت کر کے ) اس کو ہلاکت میں ڈال دیتا ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Abu Malik Al-Ash`ari narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “Al-Wudu is half of faith, and All praise is due to Allah (Al-Ḥamdulillāh) fills the Scale, and Glory is to Allah and all praise is to Allah (Subḥān Allāh wal-Ḥamdulillāh)’ fill” - or - “fills what is between the heavens and the earth, and Salat is light and charity is an evidence, and patience is an illumination, and the Quran is a proof for you or against you. And all people shall come to the morning selling their souls, either setting it free or destroying it.”
