حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِذْ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنِ الْقَائِلُ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَجِبْتُ لَهَا فُتِحَتْ لَهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ . قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا تَرَكْتُهُنَّ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ هُوَ حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ الصَّوَّافُ،‏‏‏‏ وَيُكْنَى:‏‏‏‏ أَبَا الصَّلْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک بار ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے ۱؎، اسی دوران ایک شخص نے کہا: «الله أكبر كبيرا والحمد لله كثيرا وسبحان الله بكرة وأصيلا» ”اللہ بہت بڑائی والا ہے، اور ساری تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں، اور پاکی ہے اللہ تعالیٰ کے لیے صبح و شام“، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( سنا تو ) پوچھا: ”ایسا ایسا کس نے کہا ہے؟“ لوگوں میں سے ایک شخص نے کہا: میں نے کہا ہے، اے اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے فرمایا: ”میں اس کلمے کو سن کر حیرت میں پڑ گیا، اس کلمے کے لیے آسمان کے دروازے کھولے گئے“۔ ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں: جب سے میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ بات سنی ہے میں نے ان کا پڑھنا کبھی نہیں چھوڑا ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ۲- حجاج بن ابی عثمان یہ حجاج بن میسرہ صواف ہیں، ان کی کنیت ابوصلت ہے اور یہ محدثین کے نزدیک ثقہ ہیں۔ فائدہ ۱؎: ”نماز پڑھ رہے تھے“ سے مراد: ہم لوگ نماز شروع کر چکے تھے، اتنے میں وہ آدمی آیا اور دعا ثناء کی جگہ اس نے یہی کلمات کہے، اس پر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کی تقریر ( تصدیق ) کر دی، تو گویا ثناء کی دیگر دعاؤں کے ساتھ یہ دعا بھی ایک ثناء ہے، امام نسائی دعا ثناء کے باب ہی میں اس حدیث کو لاتے ہیں، اس لیے بعض علماء کا یہ کہنا کہ «سبحانک اللہم …» کے سواء ثنا کی بابت منقول ساری دعائیں سنن و نوافل سے تعلق رکھتی ہیں، صحیح نہیں ہے۔

English Translation

Ibn `Umar [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when a man among the people said: ‘Allah is most exceedingly great, and praise is due to Allah, abundantly, and glory to Allah morning and night (Allāhu akbaru kabīran wal-ḥamdulillāhi kathīran wa subḥānallāhi bukratan wa aṣīlā).’ So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Who is the one who said such and such?’ So a man among the people said: ‘Me, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).’ He said: ‘I was amazed at it. The gates of heaven opened up for it.’” Ibn `Umar said: “I have not abandoned them since I heard [them] from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).”
