حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ هَذَانِ سَيِّدَا كُهُولِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ إِلَّا النَّبِيِّينَ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ،‏‏‏‏ لَا تُخْبِرْهُمَا يَا عَلِيُّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ابوبکر و عمر رضی الله عنہما کے سلسلہ میں فرمایا: ”یہ دونوں جنت کے ادھیڑ عمر والوں کے سردار ہوں گے، خواہ وہ اگلے ہوں یا پچھلے، سوائے انبیاء و مرسلین کے، ( آپ نے فرمایا: ) ”علی ان دونوں کو اس بات کی خبر مت دینا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said about Abu Bakr and 'Umar: These two are the masters of the elder people among the inhabitants of Paradise. From the first ones and the last ones, not including the Prophets and the Messengers. But do not inform them O 'Ali.
