حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنَّ حَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ . وَزَادَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ فِيهِ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ يَأْتِينَا بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ ؟ قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”ہر نبی کے حواری ہوتے ہیں اور میرے حواری زبیر بن عوام ہیں“ ۱؎، اور ابونعیم نے اس میں «یوم الأحزاب» ( غزوہ احزاب ) کا اضافہ کیا ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کون میرے پاس کافروں کی خبر لائے گا؟“ تو زبیر رضی الله عنہ بولے: میں، آپ نے تین بار اسے پوچھا اور زبیر رضی الله عنہ نے ہر بار کہا: میں۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir [may Allah be pleased with him]: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Indeed, every Prophet has a Hawari and, [indeed], my Hawari is Az-Zubair [bin Al-'Awwam]. And Abu Na'im added in it: On the Day of Al-Ahzab, he (ﷺ) said: 'Who will bring us news about their party?' Az-Zubair said: 'I will.' He said it three times. Az-Zubair said (each time): 'I will.'
