حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَقْبَلَ سَعْدٌ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا خَالِي فَلْيُرِنِي امْرُؤٌ خَالَهُ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُجَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلِذَلِكَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا خَالِي .

Urdu Translation

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی الله عنہ آئے تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”یہ میرے ماموں ہیں، تو مجھے دکھائے کوئی اپنا ماموں“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ہم اسے مجالد ہی کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- سعد بن ابی وقاص قبیلہ بنی زہرہ کے ایک فرد تھے اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی والدہ محترمہ قبیلہ بنی زہرہ ہی کی تھیں، اسی وجہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ”یہ میرے ماموں ہیں“۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: Sa'd came, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: This is my maternal uncle, so let a man show me his maternal uncle.
