حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا كَانَ غَدَاةَ الِاثْنَيْنِ فَأْتِنِي أَنْتَ وَوَلَدُكَ حَتَّى أَدْعُوَ لَهُمْ بِدَعْوَةٍ يَنْفَعُكَ اللَّهُ بِهَا وَوَلَدَكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَغَدَا وَغَدَوْنَا مَعَهُ وَأَلْبَسَنَا كِسَاءً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْعَبَّاسِ وَوَلَدِهِ مَغْفِرَةً ظَاهِرَةً،‏‏‏‏ وَبَاطِنَةً لَا تُغَادِرُ ذَنْبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْهُ فِي وَلَدِهِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عباس رضی الله عنہ سے فرمایا: ”دوشنبہ کی صبح کو آپ اپنے لڑکے کے ساتھ میرے پاس آئیے تاکہ میں آپ کے حق میں ایک ایسی دعا کر دوں جس سے اللہ آپ کو اور آپ کے لڑکے کو فائدہ پہنچائے“، پھر وہ صبح کو گئے اور ہم بھی ان کے ساتھ گئے تو آپ نے ہمیں ایک چادر اڑھا دی، پھر دعا کی: ”اے اللہ! عباس کی اور ان کے لڑکے کی بخشش فرما، ایسی بخشش جو ظاہر اور باطن دونوں اعتبار سے ایسی ہو کہ کوئی گناہ نہ چھوڑے، اے اللہ! ان کی حفاظت فرما، ان کے لڑکے کے سلسلہ میں یعنی اس کے حقوق کی ادائیگی کی انہیں خوب توفیق مرحمت فرما“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Al-'Abbas: 'On the night of Monday, come to me, you and your offspring, so that I may supplicate for them with a supplication that Allah will benefit you and your children by.' So he went, and we went with at night, so he (ﷺ) covered us in a Kisah (shawl), then said: 'O Allah, forgive Al-'Abbas and his offspring, for what is open and what is secret, with a forgiveness that does not leave any sins. O Allah! Take care of him concerning the affair of his offspring.'
