حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ ابْنِ بِنْتِ أَزْهَرَ السَّمَّانِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلْدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ ؟ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ مِنْ دَوْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَنَّ فِي دَوْسٍ أَحَدًا فِيهِ خَيْرٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو خَلْدَةَ اسْمُهُ:‏‏‏‏ خَالِدُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ اسْمُهُ:‏‏‏‏ رُفَيْعٌ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم کس قبیلہ سے ہو؟“ میں نے عرض کیا: میں قبیلہ دوس کا ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”میں نہیں جانتا تھا کہ دوس میں کوئی ایسا آدمی بھی ہو گا جس میں خیر ہو گی“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ۲- ابوخلدہ کا نام خالد بن دینار ہے اور ابوالعالیہ کا نام رفیع ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: 'Who are you from?' I said: 'From Daws.' He said: 'I did not think there was anyone from Daws in whom there was good.'
